I am Mr. 42 (Yes, I changed my name in 1998.)
I love photography. I love collecting. And, most importantly, I love building and running this site so that the world can be
made a better place by allowing you to share your wonderful self with others.
I've been spending most of my free time since January 2005 developing Know ?list!.
Am I obsessive? Am I crazy? Am I insane?
Feel free to share your thoughts on those questions and any others you have in one of the many forums
on this site.
Did you know that at this time I've taken 4971 pictures of objects for the site.
Want to help me out? Given your good looks and high intelligence I imagine you have a burning desire to
do just that.
| • | Feel free to send me email.
| | • | If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area then I'd be happy to drop by and take
pictures of your collections!
| | • | Do you think this site is close to doing something you would find useful,
but there's just something important missing that you have to have? If so then speak up! Post your
comments and feature requests in the Feature Suggestions forum.
| | • | Do you have a site with content but you need forums, user creatable lists,
user reviews, object affinities, and search capabilities? This site is built to be a service of other sites, so send me email
and let me know what you'd like to do! (It's free!)
| | • | Please start talking in the forums.
Click on any object and then click the forum link on the right side of the page and start sharing your unbelievably wise opinions!
| | • | Got an idea? Let me know!

Here is a tree listing of some featured object types.

This is an awesome custom made Pac-Man guitar. What follows is the text from the web page: The Pac Man Guitar. Dave "Timely" Winer of the Howards and the Baltimores requested this piece. He called my bluff after I replied, "Not only can I build it, I can make the headstock blink as well!"
A variable-speed knob is located on the eyeball so you can synchronize the blinker to the beat. There is also an emergency push-button kill switch (another request of the client).
"People always ask me where I got it. It gets a lot of attention. What most people don't realize is that aside from being really cool looking it's an extremely well crafted and easy to play instrument." - Dave Winer
• 25-1/2" scale length with two octave maple neck
• Double black-bound body made of basswood and finished in yellow cellulose lacquer
• Twelve blinking light bulbs nestled beneath translucent white acrylic on headstock
• Ebony fretboard
• Three large round mother-of-pearl fretboard markers
• Traditional vintage-style tremolo bridge
• Two single-coil pickups with yellow covers
• Geared banjo tuners
• One control each for volume and tone
