I am Mr. 42 (Yes, I changed my name in 1998.) I love photography. I love collecting. And, most importantly, I love building and running this site so that the world can be made a better place by allowing you to share your wonderful self with others. I've been spending most of my free time since January 2005 developing Know?list!. Am I obsessive? Am I crazy? Am I insane?

The search engine for the site has now been changed to use Lucene. This means that the site has a much richer search capability now. Boolean, field, and nearness searches are all there.

The tags are now true tags in that they search for only those things with the same tag.

idea I've written a new forum system from the ground up. It took a week of hard work but it was worth it. Now I have threaded forums like slashdot does instead of the simple boring flat forums I had.

The new forum system allows users to watch entire threads and even entire forums.

You can now get an RSS feed that's specific to a particular forum.

ObjectType forums now inherit. That means that if you post about a particular golf ball forum then that thread is also visible in the Golf Balls forum as well as the Golf stuff forum (which is one level higher than the Golf Balls forum).

I've also got web service views to the forums working so that you can put a thread from the forums on this site onto any other site on the web just by dropping in a few lines of javascript. That's not publicly available yet, but I'll get that out there soon. coffee
